College is over for the semester.
I have a job interview at Target tomorrow, hopefully I'll get it and be set for the summer.
Anyway, two days ago, at around 8:30 pm Saturday evening, the story I started in high school and then rewrote finally came to an end.
All it needs now is some polishing, and then HOPEFULLY it will make it into a book. Thanks to the help of Heather Brewer, author of The Chronicles of Vladimir Tod and her amazing publishing tutorial, I'm in the process of getting it out there for consideration.
I'm trying to not get too excited, I know there will be several rejections. But I will keep trying, it will be a dream come true to see my 88,691 word story published.

And while that story comes to an end, a new one is beginning.
I finished reading The Circle Trilogy by Nora Roberts, and I fell in love with one of her characters. He inspired my next story, called Lachrymosa. While The Three Realms was full of fantasy, this one is sci-fi, government conspiracy, with a bit of shape shifting tossed into the mix. And of course, a bit of romance (because an unknown fact about me is that I am a hopeless romantic. Go figure.).
So that's that.
This coming weekend I have to bird sit out at Lori's, which will be fun since I have nothing else to worry about.
I'm also supposed to hang out with one of my old friends, and I'm amazed he even asked me to hang out with him. I wasn't very nice to him a few years in high school, and it took a while for me to realize how animalistic and horrible I was being. I was having a very hard time with some serious things, and he ended up being the one I lashed out at and was cruel to.
I'm really glad he's still my friend, and I apologized to him in person our senior year. I don't know if it will ever make me feel better. I'm looking forward to getting to hang with him next weekend, hopefully his schedule won't change. (Yes, I'm talking about you, Mikoshin).
That's what's up here in my neck of the woods. Now I must get back to Lachrymosa while I have the time for it.
Cross your fingers for me that my story makes it.
