I came home from babysitting last night to find out that Shade, Lucky and Chloe's daughter, was dead. She had passed away while I was gone. We don't know of what, but I do know that I'm going to be doing a ton of cage cleaning to keep the others from getting anything.
I'm going to miss her very much. She was the only one left after I sold her siblings. No one wanted her because she wasn't colorful. True, she wasn't. But the undersides her feathers there were beautiful specks and stripes. She had such a personality, she was the explorer, always trying to sneak off and get into trouble. When she heard me say her name, she'd act innocent and go back to being good. She learned how to push herself on her swing, and was the only one of my birds to actually use it.
I regret not getting to spend much time with my birds these days, I feel like I was around her so little...

So photos may or may not be coming this next week. As stated above I have a lot of cleaning to do to ensure the health of the rest of my flock. Which is going to be even harder because Chloe has one fertile egg that has a baby growing in it.
Tonight I'm meeting a friend for a movie, and tomorrow I'm going to be cleaning like crazy until I'm satisfied they'll be safe. And I'll be watching them like a hawk. If they so much as sneeze, it's off to the doctor.

P.S. Anyone that makes fun of me for being upset about the loss of one of my pets needs to keep it to their damn selves and ask how the hell you'd feel if your pet died, no matter what it was. I will NOT tolerate flaming just because I'm HUMAN and am heartbroken over the loss of one of my beloved pets.
